- Please note that the Saturday, November 11 is a regular practice at Omega Gymnastics for our Saturday groups at the usual time from 2PM to 6PM. Pre-Comps will also practice their usual time. This is Remembrance Day so attendance is based on your family's schedule for that day.
- All competitive gymnasts competing at meets are required to have a Wings Competitive suit and Track Suit. For all the competitive gymnasts who have returned from last season, it is time to try on your competitive suit and Track Suit to see if they still fit. Our seamstress will be coming to the gym in early January to measure all the girls who need new suits. You will be notified of the date when it is confirmed. If you have outgrown your suit from last year and wish to sell it please bring it to the gym in a ziplock bag with your name, phone number and price you would like for the suit written on the bag (before the end of November). I will bring the used suits that people wish to sell, to the gym on Tuesday and Thursday December 5 and 7 for those interested in trying them on. (New bodysuits with scrunchie and embroidery are approx. $80) Some parents have also expressed interest in buying/selling regular training suits. There are gymnasts in the recreational groups who are interested in bodysuits, so you may do the same with your non-competitive suits (place in Ziploc bag with your name and your price) and you can leave those with Christina (club admin assistant).
- We will need to size those needing a tracksuit as well – so, as above, if you have outgrown your tracksuit and wish to sell it, please bring it to the gym in a ziplock bag with your name, phone number and price. I will bring the used suits that people wish to sell, to the gym on Tuesday and Thursday December 5 and 7 for those interested in trying them on. (Tracksuits cost approx. $140).
- This year it has been decided that the Pre-Competitive and Advanced Recreational gymnasts attending meets will be required to compete wearing a Wings warm up leotard. They will be made of the same blue fabric as the Competitive suits and will be sleeveless. The cost will approximately $40-$45. Measurements will be taken in early January as well.
- It is suggested that each competitive gymnast attend at least 2 competitions per season and a maximum of 4 competitions. Please discuss with your Pre-competitive and Advanced Coaches about meets and competitions for your gymnasts as meets may be optional for those groups. All coaches in consulation with parents will determine whether gymnasts are ready for their first competition. The tentative schedule for the competitions Wings will attend is as follows:
March 2-4, 2007 Surrey Invitational (Carol Lenz Memorial) - at Guildford Recreation Centre located at 15105 105th Avenue, Surrey.
March 31-April 1, 2007 Christie Fraser Invitational – Trinity Western University, Langley
