Daily Screening Checklist

Prior to entering the facility, all individuals must complete a Daily Screening Checklist in electronic format. This includes coaching and non-coaching staff, and all participants. Clubs must keep completed checklists on file.  The Daily Screening Checklist can be found HERE.

Competitive & Interclub TAG Waivers

Prior to entering the TAG facility, all athletes must complete all of the waivers.  They can be found here.

Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement

Each individual member - Parent or guardian if participant is under 19-  must complete this form. Clubs must file and retain this form in long-term storage.  The form can be found HERE.

Participant Declaration of Compliance Form 

Each individual members must complete this form, which follows Wings Gymnastics Covid-19 Safety Plan requirements. This document acts as each participant's commitment ​to comply with club requirements. This document must be signed by each participant or their parent/guardian if the participant is under 19 years of age. Clubs must file and retain this document in long term storage. Our Guidelines

Wings Society Membership & Gymnastics BC Fee
  • All Gymnasts will be charged a Gymnastics BC Insurance fee.  This fee is valid from September 1 to August 31 and it is non-refundable.
  • As a non-profit society, Wings Gymnastics holds an Annual General Meeting in the fall. Membership allows parents to vote and help shape decisions for the Club. 
  • Parents are welcome to sit on the volunteer Board of Directors, which is the governing body that sets policies and manages the overall running of the organization.

Registration
  • Registration is accepted online, through our Active Network registration process.
  • There is a convenience fee of $4.95 per transaction that is charged at the time of registration. This is non-refundable and is paid directly to Active Network to offset the cost of providing the service. This fee does NOT come to Wings Gymnastics.
  • Rates are determined by the session length. The price includes the Gymnastics BC Membership, which is your Insurance.
  • A deposit* is required at the time of registration. Space will not be held until the deposit is received. 
  • Payment can be made through Visa, Mastercard, Cheque, or E-transfer. Late registration is pro-rated based upon the start date.
*The deposit is being waived for the January 2021 season.

Payment Policy
  • Classes may be paid in full at the time of registration, or you may select a monthly payment plan which will be charged once a month.
  • If you choose to pay by cheque, you will need to submit 5 post-dated cheques to the Wings administrator, dated for the 30th of every month.
  • All NSF cheques returned to Wings Gymnastics for reason of insufficient funds, will be subject to a $25.00 NSF charge.
  • Please note: You are responsible for payment of your child’s class whether or not your child attends.

Withdrawal Policy
  • Gymnasts who no longer wish to attend may withdraw at any time.
  • Requests to withdraw may be submitted through email, by phone, or in-person.
  • Refunds will be prorated based on the value of the remaining classes.
  • The Gym BC membership fee is not refundable.
  • There is a $50.00 fee to withdraw from a class that has already started. 

Make-up, Missed or Cancelled Classes
  • We do not offer make-up classes missed due to illness or refunds for cancelled classes due to inclement weather or unforeseen events.

Arrival & Pick-up
  • ​​Every gymnast nine (9) years and younger must be accompanied by an adult when dropped off to attend the Wings Gymnastics Program. The gymnast must not get dropped off in the parking lot, please accompany your child into the gymnasium.
  • Be sure your gymnast arrives on time for their scheduled class time.
  • Gymnasts should not be left unsupervised before or after their class. Coaches are not available to supervise before or after classes.
  • Please pick up your gymnasts on time.  Instruct your child to wait inside the gymnasium or the lobby and you should escort them from the building to your vehicle.  During peak times, the parking lot is very full and busy.
  • Please instruct your gymnast to not wait alone in the parking lot; this is a safety issue.​
  • Parents are encouraged to call or text the Wings cell phone at 778-996-9464 if they are more than a few minutes late to pick up a child; the administrator will make sure that the coach gets the message. The coach will wait with the child or make arrangements for adult supervision (the Club administrator, Wings Board member, or another coach) until the parent arrives.

Information Sharing


By participating in Wings Gymnastics programs, and purchasing Gymnastics BC membership, individuals and families agree to the following:
  • Consent for my child’s name and/or photo to be used on the club bulletin board, newsletter, or website.
  • Consent for the media to release my child’s name and/or photo in any media coverage at the gym.
  • Consent for the club to disclose my name, phone number, mailing address, and my child’s name to the Board of Directors, and appointed volunteers to receive information on special events, etc. that my child may be involved in.
  • Consent for the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your personal information are all regulated by law in British Columbia. Wings Gymnastics collects and uses your personal information primarily to provide you with the programs, services, products and information you require as a member. Wings Gymnastics may share your information with Gymnastics BC, Gymnastics Canada, and various levels of government, as required.

What to wear
  • Gymnasts need to be comfortable and be able to move - so we recommend bare feet, no jewelry, and long hair must be tied up. 
  • Shorts or tights, and a non-baggy t-shirt is suitable attire. 
  • Many of the girls choose to wear a gymnastics bodysuit with a pair of shorts. We have these suits available from Hedy Pinter (club seamstress) regularly, at the gym.

General Gym Rules
  • Coaching supervision is always required in the gym
  • Coach permission is required to:
    • Enter Gym
    • Go on equipment
    • Try new skills
    • Perform aerial inversion or flips
    • Leave the gym
  • Understand the risk of the activity
  • Be prepared to participate:
    • Practice a healthy lifestyle, get enough rest
    • Wear proper clothing and footwear
    • Long hair should be tied back and kept out of your face
    • Always warm-up first
  • Stop unsafe and careless acts which could cause injury by:
    • Listening to your coach
    • Following instructions
    • Controlling your actions
  • Participate cooperatively within the limits set by the coach
  • Double-check equipment
  • Master basic skills before attempting more advanced skills
  • Keep your body under control
  • Follow equipment and safety procedures
  • Be alert and safety conscious:
    • Watch where you are going
    • Walk - don’t run
    • Watch for obstacles or uneven surfaces
  • Respect others performances with no distractions
  • Parents and spectators must stay in their designated area on viewing nights.

Parent Viewing Night*
  • Parent viewing days are during the last Tuesday and Thursday of the month.
  •  Parents, relatives, friends, and siblings are welcome to view from the South end of the gymnasium; they are not allowed on the floor and siblings must be kept off the equipment. 
  • These rules may be enforced by any board member or coaches, for the safety of our participants as well as the spectators.
*We will not have Parent Viewing Night for the January - June 2021 season.

Lost Articles
  • Wings Gymnastics, its coaches, staff and executives, are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please do not bring valuables to the gym.
